Portugal,Italy and the Czech Republic can win today

The Iranians take on Portugal and are thankful that the draw between Angola and Mexico gives them a lifeline of advancing provided that they defeat the Portuguese today. Portugal can secure their place in the Quarter finals by beating Iran .

Ghana needing points in order to have a chance of progressing, take on the strong Czech Republic fresh from their thrashing of the USA. Lokvenic replaces the injured Jan Koller and will team well with the star of the last match Tomas Rosicky. The Black cats will most probably a similar team that was beaten by Itay.

The Americans after losing convincingly to the Czech Republic would be looking to today's match to improve, however they are up against a strong opponent in Italy who are confident of getting into the Quarter Final stage.
