Denilson scored early giving the young gunners well deserved early lead however they were later reduced to 10 men after Vermeulen was sent off for a professional foul and Alumina saved the penalty which may have changed the outcome of the game. Kanu snatched a last minute dramatic win for Pompey in their match played against Hull City. This win however still leaves at the botton of the log after 9 points were deducted from them

Steven Pienaar was on the scoreboard again and helped Everton collect maximum points against Bolton and this win incresed their succesive home wins to seven.

Sunderland moved to twelfth spot against a great win against Birmigham City . darren bent scored a double and this will surely strengthen his position for a final callup to the English squad.

Harry Reddnapp was elated with a fine win by Spurs against Stoke CIty and this win will surely allow him with a great chance of strenthening his position at fourth spot, although this is going to be tough with Liverpool and Manchester City luking on his footsteps
