Portugal beat the Iranians by two goals to nil

The Portuguese were too good for the Iranians and the two goal victory ensured that Portugal progress to the Quarter Finals.

The USA and Italy played to a one all draw in a match where three Red cards were issued by the Uruguayan referee. Two issued to the USA and one to Italy.

Ghana scored in the first minute and this paved their way for an eventual victory of two goals to nothing against the Czech Republic. The Czechs were outplayed by the Black Cat. This result opens up the group and the final matches in this phase will determine who will proceed to the Quarter Finals.
