Champion's League Update

A superb goal by Thiery henry in the 47th minute gave Arsenal a nice edge for the second leg at Highbury. The young Gooners played their best soccer afterr a period of gloom where their away form was not up to scratch. Real Madrid were outplayed in most departments and will have to really shine in fifteen days in order to progress.

Benefica at home were a little too good for Liverpool. Raphael Benitez' team have the ability to turn the tides in fifteen days time when they play Benefica at Anfield.

Werder Bremen have a light edge over Juventus but the Itlaian do have a home ground advantage when they meet again for the second leg.

Bayern were held to a one all draw by AC Milan whom will also have a hom ground advantage for the return match match. Michael Ballack's men will have to be at their best to over Juventus at home.

Samuel Eto's goal in the dying minutes of the game gave Barcelona an edge against Chelsea.
Chelsea travel to Spain for the second leg and will have to be at their real best in order to progress to the next round.

The Spanish all have excellent chanches of progressing to the next leg. Villareal will host Rangers in fifteen days time day and will have the advantage of playing at home. rangers away record is not too solid.

PSV travell to to meet Lyon in France who will be favorites to progress to the next round
