Birmingham hold Arsenals to a draw

After 3 minutes in the first half, Birmingham were reduced to ten men when their captain Taylor was red carded for a tackle on Eduardo who had to be hospitalized.

Theo Walcott scored two goals which temporarily place the Gunners in command , however a technical mistake by Clichy in injury awarded Birmingham a penalty which resulted in the draw.

Manchester United narrowed the gap when they trounced Newcastle 5 - 1. They now trail Arsenals by three points .

Other results

Westham beat Fulham 1 goal to nil. Liverpool register a win at Anfield against Middlesbrough,
Portsmouth won against Sunderland one goal to nil and Wigan beat Derby 2 goals to nothing

Arsenals play Manchester City - 2 Feb 2008

Jens Lehmann now has a chance of staking his claim for No 1 position with the injury to Manuel Almunia’s thumb. He will will ensuring that hie has a good performance today.

The Gunners have quite a few players on the injury list and will be looking to get maximum points from Sven Ericsson’s team in order to keep up with the Red devils in the top of the log.

Manchester City have not won their last three matches and also are faced with a few problems of their own.

Birmingham take on Derby and the Blues will surely win this game and ease their position on the table. The match will not be that easy as Derby now have a fight on their hand to ensure that they win all their game to get out of the relegation zone

Tottenham Spur play host the Red Devils and Ronaldo and his merry band will be all out to maintain the top position.

Tottenham will be strengthen by the addition of Gilberto
