Arsenals strengthen their position on the log with a win

Arsene Wenger's young charges played fairly well thsi weekend and defeated Fulham 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

After Julio Baptista scored the first goal, the young Gunners took the match a little too easy and once the scores were levelled, the Gunners put on a little pressure and two goal were scored to ensure the win. The second goal was scored by Adebayor six minutes before the end of the match when fabergas made a cool pass to him and the three minutes later Gilberto scored from the penalty spot.

The win narrowed the gap between Arsenals and liverpool to one point for the third spot

Arsenals to play Fulham at the Emirates Stadium

Arsenals take on Fulham at the Emirates Stadium and Arsene Wengner and his team will be playing their best soccer in order to maintain their position on the log and also keep the position to secure their place in next year's Champions League

Manchester play away from home and Chelsea play at home , both these teams will be looking to win their respective games and keep their position on the log

Draws will be the order of the day in most of the other matches to be played this weekend

Chelsea win first leg of semi final clash with Liverpool

Joe Cole returned to the Chelsea squad and scored in the 29th minute and for the first time, Chelsea have a lead to defend in the UEFA Champions League Semi - Final

The Blues will travel to Anfield on the 2 nd may to defend their lad against Liverpool and also play their hearts out to book a place in the Finals


Manchester United will travel to Italy to take on AC Milan on the 1st may and the encounter will be an interesting one with the Red Devils planning to make it an all English affair but the Italians will not them off so easily

Two good encounters to look forward to next week.

Manchester United through to the FA CUP finals - correction

My sincere aoilogy to all for a grave mistake that I posted on my blog.

This match in fact was the first leg of the semi - finals and the post should have read that Manchester United won first leg of the semi finals and will have to travel to play AC Milan away

Chelsea play Liverpool in the first leg of their semi final and the second leg will be played in a few weeks time

Manchester united into the Finals of the UEFA Champions League

A goal in the dying minutes of the match by Wayne Rooney paved the way for Manchester United to book their place in the finals of the UEFA CHampions League

Christiano Ronaldo score in the first five minutes of the game giving Man U an outstanding chance in the game, Kaka reduced the deficit with a brilliant goal during the twenty second minute of the game and fifteen minutes later , he scored his second goal and AC Milan took the lead away from the Red Devils.

Early in the second half of the game, Wayne Rooney scored his first goal of the evening and Manchester United were again on level terms with AC Milan. The match looked doomed for extra time until Rooney came to the rescue of his team and ensure a spot for his team in Greece.

Chelsea and Liverpool play the second semi final and the finals will be an all English affair

Liverpool and Manchester United to maintain their log positions

Liverpool after their midweek win, regained the third spot and they will be on check to keep their spot when they take on Wigan at Anfield.

Manchester United take Middlesbrough at Old Trafford and the Red Devils will certainly be on track to maintain their lead and keep the position this week, whereas Chelsea will have to travel to Newcastle and the fixture will be testing the Blues this weekend

Tottenham host the young Gunners and they will be taking this games seriously since they have to maintain their fourth spot and also give coach Wengner their full support after the resignation of David Dein

The other games will have some draws and some upsets

Chelsea and Liverpool win their matches

Shaun Wright Philips scored in the 31st minute to give Chelsea an away goal opener in the match against West Ham United. Tevez reduced the deficit in the 35th minutes . Shaun Wright Philips scored against and Chelsea took the lead again and this lead was maintained by goals scored by kalou and Droba

Liverpool with a goal in the 58th minute and a penalty in the 65th both scored by Gerrad gave Liverpool a most welcomed win against Middlesbrough and this win ensure that their position on the log would be maintained.

Blackburn defeated Watford by three goals to one

Arsenals and Manchester United win their matches

A stunner from Cesc Fabergas and goals from Rosicky and Julio Baptista ensured that the youngher Gunners will be in the Champions League next.

Rosicky placed Arsenals in the lead during the first half with a full on ran goal however later on Lehmann made a small mistake and Marcus Beadsley scored for Manchester City. Fabergas during the latter part of the second half scored a beauty to place Arsenals in the lead once more and Julio Baptista scored from a cool pass from Hleb.


Micheal carrick was on form again and scored the opening goal for manchester United against Sheffield United at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney later scored the second goal for Manchester United and kept their silverware race alive.

Chelsea play on WEdnesday evening and they will be all fired up to maintain the pressure on the Red Devils.

Liverpool have been temporarily relegated to fourth postion by Arsenals and they will also be on the boil to keep and regain their third spot

Arsenals to take on Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium

Goals by Rosicky and Cesc Fabergas gave Arsenals a deservedly win over Bolton. Nicholas Anelka scored the first goal of the match however the young gunners played well and Fabergas scored a great goal which will surely boost his morale and the teams as well. They now meet Manchester City at the Emirates and the Gunners will be aiming to win this match and ensure a safe passage into next year's Champions League

Manchester United play against Sheffield United and the Red Devils should win this match. Liverpool take on Middlesbrough and Chelsea travel to play against Westham United.

Chelsea to meet manchester United in FA CUP Finals

A goal by Frank Lampard in the first half gave Chelsea the lead however this was not good enough and Jason Roberts scored the equaliser in the second half and the match headed for extra time.

Micheal Ballack scored a brilliant goal which ensured that Chelsea would now meet Manchester United in the Finals of the FA CUP to be played at the newly rebuilt Wembley Stadium.

Mourinho congratulated Abramanovich which he acknowledge and this may pave the way for a sounder relationship between the boss and manager.

FA CUP semi finals on the way

Watford face an inform Manchester United in their semi final clash for the FA Cup. Manchester United beaming from their 7 - 1 victory over AS Roma take on Watford at Villa Park on Saturday.
The Red Devils will be going all out to ensure that they gain the advantage over Watford who are playing in the semi's for the first time since 1984 , however they do have a tall task to overcome an inform Man U

Chelsea take on Blackburn Rovers in the other semi final and the Blues with their energetic coach Jose Mourinho eyeing the FA Cup which is one cup that he has never won, will be ensuring that they are on the road to gaining silverware.
Drogba, Ballack and Shevchenko will be the players to watch and they certainly will be playing at their best for their coach.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea will be aiming to play at the new Wembley Stadium for the finals.

Chelsea book a place in the UEFA Champion's League Semi - Finals

Micheal Essein's goal in the 90th minute helped Chelsea to secure a space in the semi finals of the UEFA Champion's League. This will be Chelsea's third semi final.

Manchester United defeated AS Roma convincingly by seven goals to one with a four goal feast during the first half. This win also ensured that the Red Devils have a place in the semi finals.

Manchester United to win second leg of Quarter Finals

Manchester United host AS Roma at Old Trafford this evening and Christian Ronaldo will be the key factor for the Red devils to progress to the Semi final stage of the Uefa Champions League. AS Roma come into this game with a 2-1 win over Manchester United in Italy a week ago however the Red Devils need to win by one goal in order to progress and ensure that AS Roma do not score any goals.

Chelsea on the other have a more difficult encounter and Mourinho will Shevchenko and Ballack in the squad and together with Drogba , they may be able to overcome the Spaniads but no easy task for Chelsea

Ii order to qualify, Chelsea will have to score more than two goals against a good Spanish team in Valencia

Arsenal defeated at Emirates for the first time

Westham caused one of the biggest upsets over the weekend by defeating the Gunners One goal to nil at the Emirates Stadium. Arsene Wenger must have been a very disappointed man since this is the first defeat at the new Emirates Stadium, the home ground of the Gunners.

Portsmouth caused the second upset by defeating Manchester United and with this defeat and Chelsea winning their match against Tottenham Spurs narrowed down the race to just three points and the they have to play each other so title race is starting to build momentum.

The other matches did not produce any major upsets.

Arsenals will have to be careful that they maintain their position in the league so that they qualify for next year's Champion's League.

Arsenals to maintain their unbeaten record at Emirates

Arsenals host Westham this Saturday at the Emirates and the young Gunners will certainly be playing to win this match and maintain their position in the league race. They have injury problem and Westham will play to win.

Manchester City and Evertomn have strong chances of winning their home games this weekend.

Draw results can be expected when Sheffield United take on Newcastle and Reading host Liverpool.

Liverpool win their match against PSV Eindhoven

Liverpool with their comfortable win over PSV Eindhoven in Holland have an edge on the return match to be played at Anfield within the next two weeks.

Chelsea played to a one all draw against Valencia and will have beat the Spaniards convincingly on the return match in order to proceed to the semi's

Manchester United will host AS Roma at Old Trafford and the Italians have a slight edge over the Man U whom will have to be at their best and also have to win convincingly in order to progress

The return matches within the next two week will prove crucila to some of the teams and they will all have to be at their best in order to progress.
